Shed your skin! #GOLDENUDE

10:20 AM

Happy Friday, Goldenuders

Let’s start out with a fun fact this morning: did you know that the human body sheds 30,000-40,000 dead cells each minute? How awesome is that!

While we can all agree shedding dead skin cells can help make our skin look good naturally, there are other benefits that you lose out on if you only rely on the body’s natural detox mechanism. Having a good exfoliating routine is the key to the smooth and glowing skin. Exfoliating, after all, is the process of removing the dead skin cells from the body, so your newer, fresher skin cells are left at the top. Your skin will feel much smoother and look much more radiant that it did before. You’ll also find that it can clear the pores of all the dirt and oils much easier, so you’re left with cleaner skin ready for your day or night ahead.

It’s not just about getting smooth skin, though. A face scrub is essential for three other reasons. Firstly, it deeply cleanses the skin, dislodging buildup in the pores and helping to break up whiteheads. It also smooths and refines the skin’s texture, giving it a soft, supple look. And lastly, it enhances blood flow to the face, giving the appearance of a fresh glow.

With all that in mind, does that mean we should exfoliate our face every morning of every day? Nuh-uh, Goldenuders, this depends on the method of exfoliating and your skin type.
When you are using an exfoliator, chances are you won’t need to use it more than once a week. A little goes a long way, with any type of exfoliate. Not only will this work out better for your skin, but we’re sure it’s also better for your bank balance ;)
So remember beauties, your mornings will be much brighter and your skin significantly smoother if you just incorporate exfoliators into your morning routine!
Flush and shine!
